This presentation explores how Wärtsilä and Promeco implemented a shared data infrastructure as part of their Dotconnector collaboration. Through concrete examples, we will show how integrated data flows have improved decision-making and enabled innovation. The presentation also disseminates findings and lessons learned from earlier collaborative projects, such as Deepening Integration in Manufacturing, highlighting the value of collaboration and shared data. Building on these experiences, we provide insights into ecosystem-level collaboration and discuss the broader benefits of information sharing through the Manufacturing Industry Data Space, which focuses on enabling trusted data sharing across manufacturing supply chains.

Christian Sundman, General Manager, Wärtsilä. Christian serves as General Manager, Innovation in Manufacturing at Wärtsilä. He focuses on developing ways for manufacturing, the supply chain, and the partner network to operate as a single integrated system rather than optimizing themselves separately. His goal is to shorten response times, improve flow, and enable decision-making where change actually occurs—so that customers receive the right solution and service tailored to their needs more quickly.

Promeco and Wärtsilä are part of the MAKE in Finland ecosystem for Finnish manufacturing, the Main Partner of the Subcontracting Trade Fair. This presentation is delivered in collaboration with the Main Partnership.
