The local plan for the southern business area of Lakari came into force in June 2026. The plan area covers approximately 400 hectares, of which the block area for industrial and warehouse buildings (T3) accounts for around 280 hectares, with building rights totalling approximately 1.2 million square metres of floor area. The area has been reserved for Fortum Power and Heat Oy, which aims to develop the site for data centre operations or similar activities.
