Random Packing is used in mass transfer applications, including absorption, desorption, distillation, rectification and extraction processes. Designed to maximise the contact area between gas and liquid phases while maintaining low pressure drop, random packing improves separation efficiency in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, water treatment, gas purification and refining.
Random Packing is offered in ceramic, metal and plastic materials, allowing the optimum solution to be selected for virtually any operating conditions, process media and corrosion requirements. Available in a wide range of shapes, sizes and materials, each packing type is designed to deliver high mass transfer efficiency, excellent mechanical stability and long service life.
Depending on the application, random packing is available in a broad range of materials, including special ceramics, stoneware, porcelain and alumina, carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, Hastelloy®, Inconel®, Monel® and aluminium, as well as PP, PE, PVDF, PVC, ECTFE, PFA and other engineering plastics. High-performance packing solutions such as VFF-Twin-Pak® for metal applications and VFF NetBall® for plastic applications are also available to further optimise separation performance.
