Partnership with SAM Headhunting:
As a partner of the Subcontracting Trade Fair, we want to communicate that the right expertise and capabilities are key to the growth of Finnish companies
SAM Headhunting immediately took a strong stance on the theme of Subcontracting 2026, growth and internationalization. Managing Partner Leena Hellfors sums up that expertise and the right capabilities are a guarantee and prerequisite for the growth of Finnish companies.
– Finnish industrial and technological expertise is top-notch, and it must be further highlighted and exported beyond our country's borders. At SAM, we help Finnish companies either accelerate their growth or expand internationally with the right talent. SAM International operates in 12 countries, which gives us natural access to international talent, Hellfors says. – In addition, we have an extensive network of Advisors to support our own offices.
The international network is a significant resource for us, Hellfors says. Each assignment is led locally from the customer's home market, while SAM's international network provides additional resources, expertise and local support when needed.
Leena Hellfors, who has led SAM Headhunting for more than a year, highlights an exceptionally strong business understanding as the company's key strength, which is supported by a high-quality and consistent process in the execution of assignments.
– We act as a strategic partner for both smaller and larger companies. Our task is to work with the customer to think about what kind of capabilities are needed to support growth.
One indication of the quality of our work is that often the client decides to recruit more than one candidate from the same search because the talent pool we identify is exceptionally strong.
Marko Pantti has worked as a headhunter at SAM since 2026. According to him, it is essential for the process to build a team whose expertise matches the client’s search assignment, industry, operating environment and the role being filled.
– Among our nearly 30 SAM consultants and advisors in Finland, we have a truly diverse group of experts to carry out the search required by the customer, Pantti promises.
SAM's operations start with a deep understanding of the customer's business. According to Hellfors, SAM brings its own strong ability to find the people who enable the growth the customer is aiming for.
– We are concerned that the labour market situation is challenging and that many managers and experts are without employment. The Finnish economy will only grow if the expertise is fully utilised. This is what we are working towards, and it also connects our mission with what Subcontracting as an event and brand aims to promote, she sums up.
Leena and Marko promise that Subcontracting will see and experience SAM's energy and excellence.
– We are especially looking forward to excellent discussions and encounters, and we are happy to talk about skills and needs in any industry. We are in a large group and want to help companies find the people who will drive their next phase of growth, Leena and Marko outline.
